  they take their own sweet time when it comes time to withdraw anything or close account. and dont inform you about anything

  On 5/1/2014 I opened an IRA brokerage account with Vanguard. It took 5 days before I could access my account on line after I received my packet which provided me with the required account number. Once I opened my on line account I filled out a transfer of assets forms to fund the account and promptly mail it back to Vanguard. The form had been setting there for 5 days but I couldn't access it until I got my account number in the mail from Vanguard. Vanguard was to mail it to my bank to start the transfer process. On 5/15/2014 I checked the status with Vanguard to see that the status was they were waiting for my form, which I had mailed 10 days before. I called their customer service line and they advised me that my form had not been processed because they have a 7 day backlog in process transfer of funds transactions. BOTTOM LINE, TERRIBLE SERVICE. It will probablay take a month or more to get a fund transfer, and it is primarily the poor service from Vanguard.
